Group Policy Client service

MIcrosoft changed the start behaviour of Group Policy Client service in Windows 8 to automatic (https://support.acmeo.eu/otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentTicketZoom;TicketID=16767#104064). When you install the Agent using the standard installation template, it detects every service which is set to start automatic and adds a check. Alert on Workstation Offline

We have just migrated from n-able to GFI RM and one of the draw backs is that GFI does not send alerts when a workstation goes offline Example would be that we had a site where the server and router stayed online but the workstations went offline because a switch went down. Time

Windows is quite dependent on the time is correct on all servers and workstations to authentikationen works. I now have a couple of times experienced that vital servers came up with the wrong time, and thus laid the network down. I could use to good game management tool could cause errors if the servers according to their time zone was out of sync with more than 5 minutes for example. Weekend Support

We need weekend support for RemoteMax.

I can't get take control viewer to work suddenly and now I am unable to get into any of my clients. There should be limited support (at least) on weekends.

Even home VIPRE users get 24/7 support. You would think that enterprise users would get some support on weekends.

Schedule patch management before next login

Hi,

it would be cool to have the option to force installation of patches after the next logout and/or before the next login.

A lot of patches fail because the program ot be patched is currently in use (Skype, Flash, Firefox, Acrobat Reader). If there would be a option to schedule the patch the successrate would be a lot higher and less frustrating

MAV email protection POP3, Exchange , other, etc

We commonly use local antivirus as a secondary scanning utility to help scan POP3, Exchange, imap, etc emails. Reduce number of agent failures

Reviewing the number of crtical alerts we get, a significant proportion is because the agent service has crashed or the agent stpped reporting in for some reason even though the WAN and server are up. There needs to be a stronger agent recovery mechanism built in so that if the dashboard senses the server is down, some form of check is run to determine if the server is contactable, and if so, to trigger an agent service ...more »

Installation without Credentials

Could you add an Option to install the Agent "silently" without providing the installing person with accout data? So that you prepare a special Agent File, which you deliver to a Customer, which installs completely without exterior Input, is assigned to certain checks and autoatically assigns itself to a Site&Customer from the dashboard, hereby recieving a set amount of checks. this would make Private customer enrollment ...more »

Remote file viewing

The ability to be able to remotely manage the file system structure. Go browse thru files, open files, delete files, move them. Just as if I was on the computer, but without having to use teamviewer to do it.

This would especially help for those times where the drive is completely full and the windows gui is complete junk for help.

Time Machine monitoring in Mac OS X agent

Reporting the status of Apple's built-in Time Machine backup would be a top feature for me.

Apple displays the status of the service on the Menu Bar so it may be possible to get this with a script, but I would be great to have this monitoring standard.

Given the average Mac user view of viruses, backups and patches will be a bigger driver of monitoring.

Do not display password for ESXi host script check

I am very happy that GFI has now implemented predefined script checks for ESXi hosts but do not like the fact that when you create them, the username and password used are displayed in plain text in the dashboard, Especially as when you enter the password its starred out! And (just discovered) email error reports contain the password as plain text! Our client that have view only dashboard access may not approve of this ...more »
