  Disable logon attempts from the account service is running as

  We are using Eventsmanager to collect event logs etc from a server located in a DMZ, which is out of reach from domain controllers. This prevents the account under which GFI Eventsmanager service is running to log on to this server. We have specified another set of credentials in the Event Source properties.   We are using Eventsmanager to collect event logs etc from a server located in a DMZ, which is out of reach from domain controllers. This prevents the account under which GFI Eventsmanager service is running to log on to this server. We have specified another set of credentials in the Event Source properties.

  However, the service still tries to log on to this server as the domain account that the EM service is running under in addition to the credentials supplied in said properties. This generates 36 failed logon attempts per hour on a production server, which triggers some other alarms.

  It would be beneficial that the service only tries to log on using the credentials specified on an Event Source when they differ from the account under which the Eventsmanager service is running.

  Configurable notification for Active Protection disabled

  If Active Protection happens to be disabled, it would be helpful to be able to configure an email notification to alert an administrator.

  Take Control Popup

  Users are reporting a Take Control popup that just says "Take Control" and "Ready to connect (secure connection)". Some are even concerned they've been hacked. We're getting a number of calls wondering what it is. Looks like there was just an update that must be causing this. It just started last week.

  This needs to be a silent install.

  Full URL in dashboard and reports

  It is imperative to be able to see the FULL URL of all sites visited as currently it would seem that just the part of the URL up to the first "/" is accessible. What comes after the first "/" could make all the difference in the eyes of the HR department and without it, the value of the software to the business plummets.

  Weekend Support

  We need weekend support for RemoteMax.

  I can't get take control viewer to work suddenly and now I am unable to get into any of my clients. There should be limited support (at least) on weekends.

  Even home VIPRE users get 24/7 support. You would think that enterprise users would get some support on weekends.

  Immediate Take Control

  I have many machines that just have an asset tracking agent on them. They do not need take control enabled every month. However if a customer calls and I want to access them remotely take control takes way to long to enable. I usually either use another agent or joinme.   Antivirus Update Check should display definition date

  Often machines are offline for a week or more when a user is out of the office. When the machines comes back online, the AV will not have updated yet. Currently, the DSC runs as soon as the machine comes online and as the AV is out of date, the Antivirus Update Check fails. It would be great to put the date next to the definition version. The date is available when you open the check so should be easy to display on the ...more »

  Vipre needs to be scanning zip files in email and AP

  IMPORTANT!!! There has been a major increase of incoming emails with .zip files attached with malware/virus in the zip file over the last several months. Vipre needs to be scanning these zip files when the email comes in, and Active Protection should be scanning the zip file as soon as the user tries to save the zip file to the client computer. This seems to be a HUGE oversight by Vipre that these files are not being ...more »

Vipre needs to be scanning these zip files when the email comes in, and Active Protection should be scanning the zip file as soon as the user tries to save the zip file to the client computer. This needs to be proactive and scan it during the download processes of both the email and by AP when the file is saved to a local computer.

  Managed Anti Virus Icon in Show Columns tab

  I would recommend to integrate the Managed Anti Virus Icon in 'Show Columns' tab under the 'View' tab as it is already implemented for TeamViewer, Take Control and Managed Online Backup.

  It would be so much easier to see on which machines MAV is already installed and on which not.

  Email Signing

  Please add a E-mail sign banner to incoming and outgoing emails that says the transmission was scanned by Vipre. This adds an assurance to both parties that the transmission was indeed virus checked and can be presumed as clean. It also adds to the "knowledge" that the product is indeed working properly since there is no visible evidence that mail is being properly "reviewed" by Vipre upon receipt and transmission. ...more »

  Patch Management - Month Schedule Option

  Currently I can schedule patches to install on a Monday-Friday schedule, but some servers can not be rebooted that often and so I have had to select the "Manual Installation" option. It would be great if I could select a Month option and pick a certain day of the month patch management would install patches on. We even have 1 server that only installs updates and can be rebooted every 3 months. I would love to automate ...more »

  Languard Stale computer Pruning

  It would be nice if languard could automatically remove stale computers from the database at a user configurable interval.

  For example, I would like computers that haven't contacted the languard server in the last 30 days to be automatically removed.

  Poder bloquear una categoria pero liberarla durante durante una hora y mientras esta politica está bloqueda poder utilizar durante 5 minutos al dia. Ahora no se puede porqué al estar activada la Browsing Quota prevalece después de los 5 minutos aunque la Web Filtering esté desactivada. Solución poner horarios en la política de Browsing Quota.   Ahora no se puede porqué al estar activada la Browsing Quota prevalece después de los 5 minutos aunque la Web Filtering esté desactivada. Solución poner horarios en la política de Browsing Quota.

  Con esto conseguimos que se queden bloqueadas politicas durante una jornada laboral, liberarlas durante el descanso de 1 hora pero permitir utilizarlas durante el bloqueo unos 5 minutos.

  Vipre should add a disk defragmenter and a regristry clean-up

  Many anti-virus programs are now including tools which help with cleaning up and "tuning" your pc. Like a disk defragmenter or a reg cleaner/cookie cleaner. I think this would be a very good idea considering many that many people don't have separate defrag software or pc cleaners. Plus, it's always good to have one program which many features instead of a ton of different programs trying to accomplish the same tasks.

  Filename added back to Quarantine Action Form

  After upgrading to ME 2012 I noticed my form no longer displays the filename being quarantined in the Filename field. Kind of ironic I believe. As it is now, it only shows "(105809B)" where it used to show "securedoc_20130416T151716.html (105811B)".

  I just chatted with support and they assured me the remove of the filename from the filename field was not a bug but a programming change they made in the new version.

  Abilit to allow Admin to delete/ignore some clients in Patch M.

  We would like to see a feature that will allow Admin to remove PC from Patch Management Screen. Seems that alot of computers are stuck in the "unpatched/Infected" Alert. Even thou that end user has all patches the Vipre claims to be missing.

  Problem With Office 2010 and USB Key

  I have an Endpointsecurity server 2013

  The Policy grant to an acive directoy goup a full access to all storage periph.

  The user can read file / copy file / make folders with the explorer.

  All applications except Winword / excel can "save as" the usb key.

  Winword and excel popup a full disk Dialog-Box.

  Any Idea ????

  Customise Linux checks before installation

  The Linux agent can only be configured from the dashboard, which means installing all the checks up-front (and paying the capped fee for the first month). Could you either configure it to setup with no checks and allow us to add them from the dashboard, or provide the ability to customise checks before install (perhaps through a configuration file)? For some virtual machines running on an internal network, I don't need ...more »

We dropped a 2000 seat license with AVG because it did not support this feature and seemed to completely ignore all exceptions we added for false positives anyway.   We need to be able to view scan results of remote agents through the admin console and simply right click on a found threat and select "send to exceptions allow/block, machine only/parent policy".

  We dropped a 2000 seat license with AVG because it did not support this feature and seemed to completely ignore all exceptions we added for false positives anyway. That basically made the active protection and scheduled scans useless because important customer programs and files were getting blocked or deleted daily.

  There is no feasible way to manually edit exceptions for almost 2000 computers and servers across dozens of businesses and schools, ESPECIALLY without environment variables being an accepted format in the admin console.

  Did anyone even think about how time consuming it would be to add a file exclusion located inside the appdata directory for hundreds of different users simply because i can't type "%userprofile%\appdata\wtf.exe" into the admin console?

  What about easily adding found threats to the global exceptions list of a policy through the scan results of any computer as well? If this is possible PLEASE someone tell me how to do it.

  Missed Scan Action

  Add the option to run the scan type that was missed instead of only quick scan. So if the end user missed the full scan we could have the full can run after they boot up instead of only the quick scan. A lot of our users are shutting down their computers and we never get full scans.

  Submit Reports by Category

  It would be awesome if LanGuard would allow me to submit all of the reports in a category for the selected computers. For example, if I select computers and want to run all the PCI reports for those computers, selecting the category should allow this and be able to display the results in a collection and export to one (albeit large) PDF document

  Support VMware SNMP and Syslog out of the box

  Since VMware is present in many environments now, it would be useful if GFI EventsManager automatically recognized and had canned Event Processing and Views for VMware ESXi and vCenter.
